Team Trivia Tickets are now on sale. Fundraiser is Oct. 12 in the CTKS Gym. Doors open at 6:00 pm, dinner served until 6:45 pm, and the trivia game begins at 7:15 pm.  Cash prizes to the top three teams that have the most correct answers in the trivia game. Tickets are $25 per person (or $30 at the door). You can purchase tickets on Sundays at the coffee social in the gym following the 7:00 and 8:30 am masses (beginning September 8 and subsequent Sundays) or by calling Alan Carrio at 251-689-7577 or Tim Dees at 251-654-1387 or from Kim in the church office during regular business hours.  The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs report that 11-20% of veterans who served in the Iraqi war suffer from PTSD (post-traumatic-stress-disorder). Sometimes PTDS (along with other complications) results in tragic consequences. Such was the case with 53-year old James Bryant Wright, a 30-year decorated serviceman, who suffered from PTDS and recently committed suicide by leaping off the deck of a cruise ship into sea. The mission of our Tee ItUp For Veterans golf tournament is to be able to donate funds to two local organizations that help veterans who suffer from mental health issues (including PTDS), suicide prevention, and homelessness.
